"James Madison" as President, 1p. folio parchment, Washington, Apr. 2, 1817, a scallop-top ship's paper issued to the vessel Persia of New Bedford, 240 tons with a crew of eleven men. Co-signed by secretary of State and future President, JAMES MONROE. Monroe's signature just the slightest bit spotty, matted in green velvet with an engravings of both and framed. Ex Sen.
