Adams", 1p. 8vo., [n.p.], "Sunday Evening Nov. 6", to Dr. William MacNeven, in part: "...I very much regret the necessity which obliges me to leave the city early tomorrow morning, will deprive me of the pleasure of listening to your Lecture, according to your kind invitation..." Tipped to another sheet, fine. William MacNeven (1763-1841) was an Irish physician imprisoned for Irish revolutionary activities. In 1805 he emigrated to New Yory City and began a successful practice teaching in the College of Physicians and Surgeons.$600-800
