580. GEORGE HERMAN "BABE" RUTH (1895 - 1948) Legendary American baseball star and Hall of Famer who hit 60 homer runs in 1927 and had a career total of 714. Bold pencil signature "Babe Ruth" on a portion of a page of the 1938 edition of "Who's Who in the Major Leagues", with pencil date and another notation in another hand. Matted with an envelope, possibly the transmittal envelope, a photo of Babe, and a card, all matted and set in a black frame. $600-800
