Lionel 156 O Gauge Passenger Set. Circa 1918. Paint is all original on all cars and loco. Loco has a pedestal headlight at one end and a strap headlight at other end. The loco ID plate on motor has been changed. Pilot trucks are original. Has hand reverse. Scratches and paint chips mainly on roof. Sides are quite nice. Very good condition. 610 Passenger car has hook couplers with ears. Has some scratches and paint chips throughout. a little rust on 2 wheels. Very good condition. Set comes with #88 battery rheostat. With 6 O gauge straights and 8 O gauge curve track. Set box is an early style marked "Lionel Manufacturing". This set pre-dates 1918. Set box lid has various stains and scrapes, but label is 99% intact. Three of the corners on lid are torn out. Side label is also 99% intact, has general stains and wear, but still is attractive. The set box bottom is nice and square. Is missing some of the dividers, but still reasonably intact. Set number 166.
