Intricate Punched Tin Lantern
c. 1790, Punched Tin "Paul Revere" Style Lantern, Choice Fine.
14.25" tall with a 5.75" base. This was a poor man's lantern of the time as it did not require a lens of any kind. These were usually used with the door open if possible or carried with the door closed. Surprisingly, it provides sufficient light even with the door closed. The hinged door works well and the hook for hanging is still attached.
