1839 Book entitled, "The Battle of Bunker Hill; or, The Temple of Liberty," First edition, by Col. William Emmons, Very Fine.
This is a classic poetic work, An Historic Poem in Four Cantos, about the Revolutionary War. 12mo, 144 pages. Bound in publisher's original black pebbled cloth with gilt title to spine, blind border & eagle insignia to front & back boards. Illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author. In very good condition with a light brown stain on page 75. The binding & hinges are in excellent shape and the contents are crisp and unmarked. Mild shelf-wear to extremities, and a slight nick to fore-edge of text block.
