This 8.25" x 5", 12-page pamphlet is disbound and exhibits some slight foxing; the first page has been detached but features a short introduction signed in print by George Washington, who presented this copy to the Congress. Evans 27920. Ex-Library, American Antiquarian Society ink stamp in top right corner of first page. The pamphlet contains a reproduction of Thomas Jefferson's correspondence with the French Plenipotentiary. A good example of the diplomatic conduct of the early republic.
