Georgia Currency
Sharp Georgia September 10, 1777 Four Fifths Dollar Note
Georgia. September 10, 1777. Four Fifths of a Dollar. PASS-CO graded Extremely Fine-45.
The change bills on this issue are quite scarce, especially in high grade. We have not handled many of these $4/5 notes on the Resolution. This is certainly one of the finest we have seen. The note is boldly printed in deeply set ink on wonderful paper. The margins are broad and evenly spaced from the edges. Georgia paper currency has always been one of our favorites. The wide variety of issues and general scarcity make collecting it a challenge that is fulfilling to execute. An excellent note for a quality collection.
