ABT: Lionel #2146WS 1948 726 Passenger Set/ OBs

Paul V. Ambrose and Drew J. Bauer present: This is the #2146WS O Gauge Passenger Set that Lionel made circa 1949. This Set includes the #726 Diecast Berkshire Steam Engine with Headlight and Smoke, the #2426W Diecast Whistle Tender with Six-Wheel Trucks, the #2625 Irvington Passenger Coach, the #2627 Madison Passenger Coach and the #2628 Manhattan Passenger Coach with taped-couplers. Our Opinion is that the Set is generally in Like New to Like New Plus Plus Condition, very minor signs of use and age. Outstanding - it would be difficult to presume that you could find a better example of this set. The Original 1949-issue Set Box is in (9-) Condition, minor writing on one label. The Original Inner Boxes are carry-over from 1948 and are generally in (9) to (9-) Condition, minor track wear, with correct Inserts and all Paperwork plus a 1949 set of Billboards. This set does not appear on the market as often as the higher-profile 1950 Hudson Passenger Set #2148. A rare opportunity to acquire a truly matched set. All Original in our Opinion.
