"Perfect Storm" Oilskins

A set of Grundens oilskins of distressed orange worn by George Clooney's in "The Perfect Storm" (Warner Bros., 2000). A long-sleeved hooded jacket with press stud fastening and matching oilskin trousers with orange elasticated braces. Both pieces have an inside label, with "Billy" written in black felt pen. Purchased for Clooney, in the role of Captain Billy Tyne. The oilskins used in "The Perfect Storm" were copies of those used by the crew of the Andrea Gail, whose adventures inspired the film. Together with a letter of provenance and a colour reproduction of a related still. Sale History: Christie's South Kensington, December 2001
