Cocktail dress belonging to Marilyn Monroe. Black silk chiffon. Capped sleeves, V-neck, gathered waist pleats at back. Back zipper and weights sewn into interior lining. Staining and ripping. Christie's tags pinned to garment because it was going to be sold there in 1999. Together with a a reprinted image of Monroe wearing a similar dress.
