Signed photographs of President Kennedy and John Glenn. A color photograph (10 x 14") taken by Cecil Stoughton, an official White House Photographer from the Kennedy Presidential years (1961-1963), on February 23, 1962, depicting President Kennedy and John Glenn at the Cape Canaveral Manned Spacecraft Center. Glenn is being awarded the Distinguished Service Medal for becoming the first American to orbit the Earth three days earlier. Includes a color photograph (4 1/2 x 6 1/2") of the Glenn launch. The JFK-Glenn photograph in this ensemble also reproduces JFK's secretarial inscription, "with every good wish-/John F. Kennedy" and Glenn's signature, "Best regards-/J H Glenn, Jr." With a typed certification (4 x 5") signed by Stoughton, describing the B&W photo of JFK watching flight recovery of First American Astronaut Alan B.
