Letter handwritten in pencil by Jack Ruby from jail. Not signed. 1 1/2pp, 4" by 6", on two separate sheets. Sent to his brother Earl Ruby who has signed a photocopy of the first page identifying it as "Jack Ruby's Handwriting / Earl Ruby." Ruby writes on the first page about helping one of his "waitresses (who) was very intoxicated and she couldn't find her way home and she was afraid to go home because of her husband, she got me out of bed and...I called her husband to come and get her...." On the second unrelated sheet, Ruby writes about his gun, "Also, there was no hammer on gun, how can anyone stop same from firing." Sale History: Herman Darvick Autograph Auctions, April 1993
