JFK Assassination. Historically important unsigned autograph manuscript by Jack Ruby. 24 full pages, 4" by 6", on 22 separate sheets (last two sheets are written on both sides). Written by Ruby in pencil from jail at the request of his brother Earl after Jack was convicted of murder and sentenced to death. It details his movements on Friday evening, November 22nd and during the early hours of Saturday morning, November 23, 1963, and was to be used by Ruby's lawyers if a new trail was granted. It was granted, but Jack Ruby died before the new trial. Jack was curious to see if his competition closed their nightclubs out of respect to Kennedy. In part, "When I left the syngogue, I drove by the Bali Hi and they were open and I drove by the Gay Life and they were closed and the I drove down Preston Rd. and stopped at Phil's delicattessen ... I called the police station and asked for homicide to talk to Sims and I think he answered the phone and asked him if he wanted sandwiches and he said they were winding up everything and he sure did appreciate it and was going to tell all the boys how nice I've been."
