Prison cell lock used by Harry Houdini. Metal lock with four holes for mounting on prison bars, keyhole, and solid rectangular shaped lock protruding from left side. Also included is a large skeleton key belonging to the lock. Houdini not only escaped from the cell in London, England, he also unlocked the cells of all the prisoners. The prison officials were so impressed with his escape that they removed the lock from the cell and gave it to him as a souvenir. Formerly in the Houdini Historical Center. Together with letter of provenance from Sidney Radner, honorary curator of the Houdini Historical Center.
