Life size static plaster mannequin of Harry Houdini with shackled hands, feet and neck. The mannequin is posed to suggest that Houdini is about to break loose of the shackles binding his arms. The mannequin is wearing chains and four types of locks from the Houdini-Hardeen Collection. Arms have deep cracks and evidence of repair throughout. The neck has completely broken off due to the weight of the chains; pieces of plaster missing, extensive restorations. 61 1/2" Sale History: Butterfield & Butterfield, November 1999
