Collarless Beatle suit worn by John Lennon, in 1963. A gray suit (comprising jacket and pants) made by D.A. Milling Tailors, who made many of the Beatles' early costumes. The suit has the inner tags with "Beatles 1963 John Lennon Stage" handwritten on each maker's label. Together with a framed display, 33 x 40, comprising an original handwritten letter of authenticity on D.A. Millings and Sons stationery, signed by Gordon Millings in 1992, which states, in part: "This is to confirm that the silver grey collarless suit was made by D.A. Millings & Son, for John Lennon of the Beatles, and worn for photo-sessions, touring, etc"; three photos of the Beatles in their suits; and a descriptive plaque. Also framed with a copy of a letter from D.A. Millings to the Beatles N.E.M.S. Enterprises for the order of a number of Beatles clothes, including the collarless stage suits. In fine condition.
