Elvis Presley's Abalone and Mother-of-Pearl Crucifix

Sign In to see what this sold for

FROM THE GINGER ALDEN ELVIS PRESLEY COLLECTION: Elvis Presley was a very spiritual and deeply religious man. He chose this crucifix and purchased it for himself while on a shopping trip with his fiancee, Ginger, during the last vacation that Elvis took to Hawaii in March of 1977. Unfortunately, their vacation was cut short by an eye infection, and the couple had to leave Hawaii earlier than planned. Elvis brought the crucifix with him on his plane, the Lisa Marie. While preparing to disembark after touching down in Memphis, Elvis accidentally dropped the crucifix and the attached base broke off. Elvis carried the crucifix off the plane and back to Graceland, where he later gave it to Ginger. This crucifix comes with a letter of authenticity from Ginger Alden. 10 x 6 x 1/2 " THIS LOT IS FROM THE GINGER ALDEN ELVIS PRESLEY COLLECTION, AND IS NOT PART OF THE PUGLIESE COLLECTION.
