Don Blocker "Bonanza" Ten-Gallon Hat

Dan Blocker's ten-gallon hat from "Bonanza" (NBC-TV, 1959-1973) Worn by Blocker in the role of Eric "Hoss" Cartrwright on the Ponderosa. The felt hat was custom-made for Blocker, and is slightly toned from age. Together with a case, with "Hoss" engraved on an exterior nickel plate and "Dan Blocker, 19365 Halsted, North Ridge, Calif - Bill Davis - Plastic Research, Odessa, Texas" engraved on an interior nickel plate. Originally acquired from a German entertainment writer in 1970, who interviewed Blocker for a German magazine. Together with a letter of provenance. Sale History: Profiles In History, July 2006
