Sally Field's habit and coronet from "The Flying Nun" (ABC-TV, 1967-70). The costume consists of a cream habit; a coronet; a black bead rosary; black socks; and black stockings. In the habit is a Berman Costume Co. label. Internal Columbia Pictures label (in the stockings) and Berman Costume Co. label in the habit are each handwritten "Sally Field". In excellent condition. Worn by Field in the role of Sister Bertrille, a nun in the Convent San Tanco in Puerto Rico. With her slight figure and huge coronet, she is whisked away, airborne, with little control over her destination. As she explains in the show, she floats away "when lift plus thrust is greater than load plus drag!" Her flights often land her in trouble, in water, and in one episode, she is identified as an enemy plane. The costume once belonged to Debbie Reynolds' collection and is the only one known to exist. This complete costume is an icon from 1960s television. Sale History: Profiles In History, July 2004
