Description: Stereoview titled "353- Abraham Lincoln's Catafalque" and "New York City". Gray-clad soldiers of New York's Seventh National Guard regiment, the same regiment that saved the nation's Capital, march along side Lincoln's coffin. This is a close-up view of Abraham Lincoln's coffin on the huge and decorative hearse designed by Peter Relyea. Several patriotic flags and soldiers surround Lincoln's hearse. Slight surface wearing on mount, otherwise in very good condition. In New York's farewell, a total of 11,000 of the military marched, along with 75,000 just plain people. Scarce.
