Antique 19C Rhinoceros Foot and Tusk Cover Rhino Box
Unusual 19C taxidermy box made from a Rhinoceros foot. These taxidermy exotic animals boxes were popular souvenirs the British brought back to England from Africa. The box has a round leather top with part of a tusk for the finial with brass-studded rim. Foot is in good condition there is a small split in the hide just under the lid. Measures 7" high, 9" long and 8" wide.
