Diameter 17 1/2".Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity dated April 3 1998 by Frances Archipenko Gray.Note: The inscription along the upper rim, a quote from the Ukrainian poet Ivan Franko, translates: "Spirit, education, thought, willpower will not give in to falsity will not make error now".It refers to Joseph Stalin's policies of the 1930's concerning the appropriation of the Ukraine and other nations into the Soviet Union, specifically the famine of 1931-1932.
