American, ca. 20th c., painted hardwood, a fat green snake is entwined around a shaft that terminates in a male head reminiscent of Pacific totems, also decorated with two lines composed of small nails, petrified rubber covering one end. 35.5" Condition reportAge crack on head, additional remnants of red and black paint.
