Two Antique Folk Art Canes,
the first consists of a knotty maple shaft topped by a finely carved woman's head, brass ring at tip (33.5"); the second is also of maple and has been decorated by carefully removing areas of bark to create a gallery of cryptic, possibly Masonic, designs including a horseshoe, four-leaf clover, all-seeing eye, compass, trowel, as well as several monograms and initials. The tip is sheathed in an early brass shotgun shell (34").
