carved hickory, with one shaft segment composed of a free-moving marble within an open rectangular box, the section below is carved with Mary Magdalene or another supplicant kneeling in prayer before Christ on the cross, other carved embellishments include geometric designs and a church, each relief element is highlighted with black paint, a most striking departure from the above carved decoration is a mother-of-pearl Star of David affixed to the base of the handle. 37.5"
