made for the American market, oval form with shaped rim and conforming lid, the lid is decorated with a finely detailed spread wing eagle holding the banner "E. Pluribus Unum," Meissen style floral sprays and a strawberry finial, similar sprays adorn the body of the dish. 3" x 9" x 7" Condition reportChip to finial, minor gilt loss.
