oil on canvas, unsigned, two boaters put into placid water near a cottage nestled behind a screen of trees, a sailboat languishes just upriver. In gilt and composition wood frame with small title/artist plaque. An old label, ca. 1920s, from Anderson Gallery in Chicago reads, "#1350 Riverside Cottage Frederick W. Watts"; Two recent Christie's inventory stickers are also on the verso. SS 18" x 28.25"; DOA 27.75" x 37"
