on stand, ebonized cabinet with sliding lid compartment above two paneled doors opening to a very finely inlaid and fitted interior, set with exotic veneers and mother-of-pearl inlay depicting man and woman, flowers, birds, dolphins and other animals, ten drawers surrounding central prospect opening to ivory fitted amphitheater with mother-of-pearl inlay of figures dancing, four additional small drawers with mother-of-pearl inlay in amphitheater, probably original interior hinges and carrying handles, possibly a marriage cabinet, attributed to Antwerp, 17th century, 58-1/2 x 34-1/4 x 17 in. Overall very good condition with scattered cracks and losses to veneers, other veneer pieces loose (glue is dry), minor repairs to mother-of-pearl inlay (one figure with fugitive decoration), stand appears to be of later date and with some water stains and surface wear, exterior door hinges replaced.
