fruitwood and beechwood with leaf carved hand grips and arm supports on shell and leaf carved legs and skirt with X stretcher, French, 18th century, 40-1/2 x 27 x 22 in. Refinished with mellow brown color, breaks and repairs to rear legs (pieced), other scattered pest damage, stretchers possibly old replacements, modern upholstery in excellent condition (not examined under upholstery).
