bronze pediment with fisherman seated on rocks with child and fish nets and playing lute, polished slate with ormolu mounts, brass works marked "Medaille d'Or Paris 1827", French, 19th century, 29 x 16 x 11 in. Traces original gilding, lacking key and pendulum, mellow patinated surface, some tape residue, polished slate base with repair to lower left side, scattered small chips, pediment possibly lacking screw (handle with care). Provenance: Private Collection, Burgaw, North Carolina
