(French, 1829-1905), "Jeanne d'Arc", signed in base "P. Dubois" with foundry mark "F. Barbedienne Fondeur, Paris, France", incised number under base "17780-B", stamped "M", black patinated bronze, 23-1/2 x 19 x 11 in. Loss to spur on proper right foot, sword bent, scabbard slightly bent, wear to patination on sword and scabbard. Provenance: Private Collection, Kiawah Island, South Carolina A large scale version of this statue is in Place du Parvis, Reims, France.
