12-5/8 x 11-1/2 x 6 in. bronze pediment of seated vestal with young child beside, burning love letters at flames of Aladdin lamp and signed "G. Gregoire" (Jean-Louis Gregoire, French, 1840-1890), polished slate base, brass works, probably French, mid 19th century, 20-1/2 x 17-1/2 x 9 in., with pair side urns with engraved surfaces and female head pediments, circular polished slate bases, 20 in. Mellow patination with wear and abrasions, traces original gilding, minor border and corner chips to slate bases, chair back with modern screw, lacking glass face, otherwise excellent condition. Provenance: Private Collection, Burgaw, North Carolina
