Houghton/Dec. 12 1870", oil on canvas, American, 19th century, 22-7/8 x 27-3/8 in.; original 19th century oval gilt wood and composition frame with fruit and nut garland, diapered cove. One patch verso, restretched on original stretcher; crackle, cupping, cleavage, canvas loose, retouch at center, in background and around some peaches; frame with resurfacing. Provenance: Nashville, Tennessee Collection
