three rows alphabet and numbers over six-line verse, center "Mary Turner Her Work Finished March 26 Aged 13 year in the year 183(?)", basket of flowers and fruit flanked by peacocks, symmetrical composition, urns with flowers, trees, animals and figures of people throughout, simple floral vine border, silk on linen, 16 x 17-1/2 in. (sight); modern gold frame and matting. Remounted on later backing, original tacking edge, fading, scattered stains, frayed edges, surface losses to silk thread, remnants of fabric edges on two sides.
