WILLIAM BURNET, Royal Governor of New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and New Hampshire
Document Signed (twice), as Governor of New York, 12.25” by 7.5” tipped into a slightly larger sheet, New York, April 28, 1724. A smattering of tiny almost imperceptible pinpricks at top, otherwise Choice Very Fine condition. Burnet’s first signature, measuring 2.5” by 1”, attests that three men witnessed John Theobald, deceased, sign his Last Will and Testament; the second signature, only slightly smaller, certifies that the Executers named in said Will have taken the Oath of Administration. An exceptionally handsome document.
