Bounty Hunter’s Receipt, July 8, 1798, Boston, MA, 2.25” x 7.5”, Fine. Manuscript on fine white laid paper, gray ink, light toning to sheet. Josiah TeoŃŃ signs in a shaky hand that he received five pounds and ten pence from Stephen Hall “which was my bounty.” The bounty was probably for killing foxes.
