A Horse for Washington’s Army

1780 Pennsylvania Bond, Anderson PA-1, Choice Extremely Fine.
8.25” x 8,” numerous folds, light age toning, otherwise nice, with full margins on all sides except for the indented one. Issued in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Peter Trexlor for furnishing a horse to the State, “for the Use of the United States....” In a handwritten note at the top of the document, Trexlor records the receipt of 46 Pounds, Fifteen Shillings, and Six Pence as payment “in full” from a Colonel Jacob Morgan.
