1760 London Print of “A South View of Oswego, on Lake Ontario, in North America,” Choice Very Fine.
7.75” x 10.5.” This print was taken from the 1760 edition of the “London Magazine” where it was used to illustrate the small settlement of Oswego. Tall cliffs rise on the right side of the print and a small tent camp is seen in the foreground and a large fort appears in the background at left. Very nicely hand-colored and a very attractive, relatively problem-free piece.
