4.25” x 8.5” uncolored print, tipped to a larger poster sheet. A finely-detailed illustration of the “sidewheeler” steamship, “Neptune,” flying a “U.S. Mail” banner, a striped flag with variation of stars on a dark field, and another banner with an image of the god Neptune. Lightly toned sheet with minor foxing.
