c. 1781, Print “The Landing of Captn. Cook, & c. at Mallicolo, one of the New Hebrides", Fine. Overall size 9.25" x 14.25". Published in London by Alexander Hogg for use as an illustration in a book describing the voyages of English explorer Captain James Cook. Trimmed tightly at the top and with a chunk out of the bottom edge just left of center. This appears to be the first meeting of two vastly different cultures.
