c. 1781, Print “The Landing of Captn. Cook & c. at Middleburgh, one of the Friendly Isles", Fine.
Overall size 9.5" x 15". Published in London by Alexander Hogg for use as an illustration in a book describing the voyages of English explorer Captain James Cook. Scattered foxing and with tiny pieces of leather (from the original binding) pressed into the paper near the top. Interesting contrast between the costumes of the natives and the British sailors.
