c. 1781, Print “Various Articles of Otaheite and New Zealand", Choice Very Fine.
Overall size 15.25" x 9.5". Published in London by Alexander Hogg for use as an illustration in a book describing the voyages of English explorer Captain James Cook. A trifle rough on the right edge, but this is one of the more displayable prints from this book. Illustrated are various tools, including “Tattowing" (Tattoo-ing) instruments. The bottom of the print features an inset of “An Indian Harbour with a representation of the Natives & their Habitations."
