The South Pacific of Captain James Cook

c. 1781, 18 Prints relating to the Voyages of Captain James Cook in the South Pacific, Choice Very Fine to Extremely Fine.
Published in London by Alexander Hogg for use as illustrations in books describing Capt. James Cook’s voyages. Each print is disbound and measures approximately 9" x 15.75" overall. The general condition is excellent but some of the prints have been trimmed into the titles, the title is chipped, or even removed. In most cases, a proper matting will suffice to turn these into dramatic display pieces. The following titles are included:
A View of the Island of Otaheite, with several Vessels of that Island
View of Resolution Bay, in the Marquesas
A View in the Island of Tanna
Captn. Wallis, on his arrival at Otaheite, in conversation with Oberea the Queen, while her attendants are performing a favorite Dance called the Timrodee
A View of the Island of Pines
A View of the Island of New Caledonia
A View of Anamooka
A View of Afi-Too-Ca, a Burying Place, in the Island of Amsterdam
