GLASS CANES, Collection of Over 70 Different Glass Canes.
Assorted glass canes of every size, color and stripe: drum majorette styles - ranging from 34” to 70”; heavy jumbo sized canes of various colors and sizes; “fused rod” glass canes, and a variety of “candy cane” striped and colored glass canes. Never intended for use as walking aids, these large glass canes were designed as novelty pieces created by glass craftsmen as a way of showing off their artistry. Pieces included in this substantial lot are representative of the very best glassware shops of this century. (70+ canes)

1.Drum majorette type, opaque white, 40”.
2.Drum majorette type, narrow, clear glass over opaque turquoise core, 39”.
3.Thin majorette type, clear leaf green glass top opaque white candy cane stripes, almost 40”.
4.Drum majorette type, good sized, hollow with blue applied spiral ribbing, perfect and attractive, 41”.
5.Drum majorette type. Important, hollow with interior candy cane ribbing in clear blue, green, opaque white, the interior silvered like a Christmas tree ornament. Original cork plug remaining. Very rare, 38”.
6.Drum majorette type, narrow type, of deep amber color, the top a broad swirl, 42”.
7.Drum majorette type, narrow type, of opaque white with vertical colored stripes, swirled top with central yellow core, 36”.
8.Drum majorette type, long and very narrow, clear over leaf green core, swirl top with opaque white candy cane knob, 40”.
