1876 “CENTENNIAL INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION” Bandanna, Philadelphia, PA, Very Good.
20” x 23.75” bandanna with red and black ink design printed on one side, no manufacturer listed. Not listed in “Threads of History” (Smithsonian Institution: 1979). Featuring a central bust portrait of Washington, and six exposition venues printed along the margins of the bandanna. General foxing and dampstaining, which only add to the quaint attractiveness of this piece.
