THE SMURFS, Lot of 3, Original handpainted animation cels and preliminary drawings, 10.25” x 12.25”, Extremely Fine.
A lot of 3 animation cels featuring the immensely popular cartoon figures, the Smurfs. Each cel shows one or more of the characters, most with the corresponding pencil sketches enclosed. An intriguing lot which reveals the painstaking detail needed to produce animated films. These authentic cels were actually used in the filmmaking process, unlike some of the “publicity cels” that are currently in circulation. (3 items).
