The well formed 19th C. ax measures 18" L x 9-1/2" H x 3/4" D and is carved from one solid piece, additional gold stencil work including the inscription: "T. O. T. E.". Condition: Moderate wear overall from handling, some light damage to the blade edge, maybe missing a small knob off of the top of the head, as there are remnants of a small fractured doll, original varnish does show some wear, no other major damage found.
