Brass tack decorations including monogram E. S., travel trunk is a dome top version and has multiple early newspaper linings on the interior, additionally it has hand forged handles on each end, trunk is 28" W x 15" D x 12" H. Condition: Shows wear from heavy use, the original leather strap hinges have been replaced with 19th C. cast iron versions and numerous small minor repairs to the leather, also a previous hasp that was attached to the front lid edge that has been removed, no other major damage found.
