Depicts a young boy with large dog in a landscape, 14" H x 18-1/2" W, signed: Stephen Gyurich in LR, backside has a Detroit Institute of Arts Exhibition Label with the original title: "The Guardian", shows artist full name and street address for Detroit, MI. Painting is unframed with a felt backing. Condition: There are some waves to the canvas, holes around the perimeter from previous mounting into a frame, small areas of paint loss in UR corner, 1/4" diameter of paint loss in left hand near center area, varnish has turned dark and needs cleaning, some craquelure with separation in the sky area, no other damage found.
